An Easy Method to Start a Landscape Sketch

An easy way for sketching landscapes is to find where the value changes in your scene and draw these lines first. You can start with a simplified shape first like a cone for the pine tree and a square with a triangle on top of it for the house. Then, when everything is in its place, you can come back and redefine the contour and add texture.
